For free flowing powders

The plug samplers of the MP/AP series are plug type samplers for taking powder samples out of non-pressurized systems such as downpipes, chutes, hoppers, etc.

Application

The samplers of the AP/MP series are proven piston samplers for powders with a fixed sample volume. They are suitable for installation in pressureless systems such as downpipes, reservoirs, etc. They can be operated manually (Mod. MP) or pneumatically and are characterized by uncomplicated installation and reliable operation. The sample quantity is defined by the chamber volume. The total sample quantity can be determined by the number of strokes. With the appropriate control a sampling proportional to time, volume or event can be realized.
The materials used (stainless steel and plastic POM) are suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Operation

The chamber incorporated in the piston transports a defined sample quantity through the sampling tube. If the piston is in the retracted position above the ejector, the sample falls out and enters a suitable sample bottle. On the MP model, the sample is actuated manually and on the AP model by a Festo compressed air cylinder.

Installation

To mount the sampler, a TC socket is welded into the delivery line. The sampler is attached to it with a triclamp.
